Visit of the the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church to ArmeniaOn October 10, by invitation of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, paid a visit to Armenia. On the Altar of Ascend a thanksgiving prayer was offered. During the visit two leaders of Armenian and Syriac Churches jointly visited the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide at Tsitsernakaberd, participated in the opening ceremony of International College in Dilijan, visited Vaskenian Theological Seminary in Sevan and Izmirlian Medical Center of the Mother See. The visit of the Patriarch will last till October 13. |
