Baptism of soldiers in St. Zoravor ChurchOn the Feast of Holy Translators, ten soldiers of Andranik Ozanyan military units were baptized in Yerevan St. Zoravor Church. They were inspired by the conversations they had with spiritual servants. The soldiers made a decision not to wait before they are discharged from service. |

Feast of Assumption at the Mother Cathedral of Holy EtchmiadzinToday is the Feast of Assumption of the Holy Mother of God - fourth of the five tabernacle feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the oldest of all seven feasts dedicated to the Holy Mother of God. Before the XII century it used to be celebrated on August 15. The feast became movable under the Presidency of the Catholicos St. Nerses Shnorhali and up to now it is celebrated on the Sunday closest to August 15. Today the celebrant of the Divine Liturgy was the Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Bishop Hovnan Hakobian. |

Today is a Remembrance Day of the DeceasedThe Feast of Transfiguration is followed by the Remembrance Day of the Deceased. In the Mother Cathedral the celebrant was Very Rev. Father Daniel Tumanyan. He reminded the believers that today was not a day of mourning, instead it was a one of prayer and remembrance.
