New album of Tigran Hamasyan “Shadow Theatre”

He was called wunderkind while still a child of two. From 10, he was “rain-washed” with prizes from the largest international festivals. Pianist, composer Tigran Hamasyan visits Armenia several times, delivers master classes and holds charity concerts. This time the musician presented his new album “Shadow Theatre” in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

Closing Concert of the 7th Classical Music Festival “Return”

On November 20, the closing concert of the 7^th Classical Music “Return” took place in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The participants included famous pianist and conductor VahagnPapyan from Israel and State Philharmonic Orchestra of Armenia. Conductor Eduard Topchyan was bestowed the title of a Knight by the Italian Government for propagating and presenting Italian music at its best.

The program Gyumri as Cultural Capital of CIS was finalized. Vladimir Spivakov and National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia were in the second city of Armenia on that occasion.

Feast of Varaga Holy Cross

Today, Armenian Church is celebrating the Feast of Varaga Holy Cross, which is one of the four feasts dedicated to the Lord’s mark. The celebrant in the Mother Cathedral was Fr. IsahakPoghosyan, whose preaching once again reminded the believers about the holy tradition related to the feast and the commandment of the Holy Sign.

TWENTY YEARS LATER

With the Referendum on September 21, 1991, we uttered our “yes” to independence. Independence is an absolute value, means of preserving our national identity. Flamenco Night at Ulikhanyan Club

Armenians create in Spanish style, they perform and astonish. The band Los Locos presented a flamenco night at Ulikhanyan Club. The band members Ashot Voskanyan and Tigran Ayvazyan were joined by guests from Toronto and Marseille – dancer Christine Arzoumanian and bass guitarist Alan Jean.
