The only functioning Church in Hrazdan city is Holy Mother of God located in the district Atarbekyan. This is one of those districts which used to be a village and were later on attached to the city. The number of population grew in parallel to the growth of spiritual needs; however there were no means to build a Church. One of such villages now a district of the city, is Kojor. There was a Church consecrated there yesterday. Holy Cross was consecrated by Archbishop Arakel Karamian, Primate of Kotayk Diocese, in the presence of many believers.
